DES MOINES, IA - The League of United Latin American Citizens of Iowa will host the annual Latino Legislative Day on Tuesday at the Iowa State Capitol.
"This is a day for our community to have access to our elected leaders and to speak with them about issues that are important to the Latino community,”"said Joe Enriquez Henry, National LULAC Vice President of the Midwest.
The day will begin with breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. in State Dining Room 15. Tamales and burritos will be served. Afterward, there will be several speakers, elected leaders and civil rights activists, who will give presentations about bills being considered by the state Legislature. LULAC's Latino Vote Iowa campaign staff will provide an update about the Latino turnout at the Iowa Caucuses.

Anyone is welcome to attend. Spanish-speaking translators will be at the event.
